Enid Blyton might have a few words to say about Crabbie's alcoholic ginger beer. Owner Halewood International created the drink, rsp £1.99, by steeping ginger in alcohol for four to five weeks before adding spices and carbonate. Halewood said it expected the 4% abv drink to take on Magners and Bulmers in the over-ice category, and is supporting this week's launch with a £1m marketing spend.
