PG Tips is reinforcing its recently forged links with the Rainforest Alliance with a three-week cinema campaign over Easter that discusses its work with the ethical certification scheme. Its five-minute film, A Tale of Two Continents, runs in cinemas from 21 March until 10 April before Horton Hears a Who!, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Inkheart and Wildchild. It shows PG Tips' protagonist Monkey romping through the history of tea, from its discovery in ancient China up to the Rainforest Alliance certification of its tea, and emphasises the brand's new ethical credentials. PG Tips packs have featured the Rainforest Alliance's ethical frog logo since January following certification of Unilever's plantation in Kenya. Currently 50% of tea used in PG Tips is from certified sources and Unilever wants the brand to be 100%-certified by 2010.
