Tetley is turning the spotlight on Redbush tea with a £1m TV ad in January to cash in on the key post-Christmas period.

The 30-second ad communicates the reasons to drink the naturally caffeine-free tea. It takes place in South Africa with a native woman talking about the qualities of the brand. Each quality is supported by a brief scene featuring an animal, such as a zebra at a water hole as she talks about the tea being "hydrating as water", and a scene with cows when it is described as "perfect with or without milk". The ending plays on the brew's caffeine-free credentials, with the woman wishing everybody sweet dreams as she tells a roaring lion to "be quiet as people are sleeping".

The ad will be supported by store promotions, with sampling later in the year.
