Tetley is returning to the small screen this month with its Extra Strong tea range as part of a £1m marketing push. The range, launched three years ago, had its first dedicated TV campaign last year, which prompted a 25% increase in sales, according to the company. The Tetley Extra Strong range is worth £2.5m, up 54% on last year. It forecast sales would top £3m thanks to the ads, claimed Simon Attfield, customer marketing controller. The month-long campaign kicks off on 19 May and will run alongside its on-pack Free Fun For Everyone promotion across all Tetley packs, offering family activities when points are redeemed online. The TV advertising carries the strapline 'Everyone's cup of tea' and is focused around the 'kick' provided by a cup of the brew.
