Capespan is conducting a national programme to promote the arrival of South African grapes with the slogan ‘fresh from the sun’.
Laraine Brown, advertising and promotions manager, said it had produced three 30-second adverts which would be going out on a series of radio stations throughout the UK.
“We’re looking to highlight the fact Cape new season grapes are in plentiful supply. The adverts start on Monday (February 2), and last for two weeks.”
She said Capespan would also be looking to repeat the radio promotion in May with the first arrivals of Goldens and Granny Smith’s apples.
