Pig farmers could get cash boosts of up to £50,000 from a £500,000 British Pig Executive fund. The grants are designed to help encourage greater supply chain co-operation. The initiative stems from BPEX's Road to Recovery strategy and aims to connect farmers with the point of sale.
The funds will be used to develop new projects. Farmers will then get to see the effects at the end of the chain.
