The Grocer’s popular weekly Focus On features will be coming to life at the Birmingham NEC next month, as a forum for some of the hottest topics in grocery retailing.
Four half-day seminars will be hosted by The Grocer magazine on the morning and afternoon of March 21 and 22, looking at the confectionery and snacks, soft drinks, dairy and world cuisine categories. They are running during next month’s Food & Drink Expo, Convenience Retailing Show and Foodex Meatex, but are available for anyone to attend.
Each three-hour seminar, fronted by a senior member of The Grocer’s editorial team, will take an in-depth look into how the category has developed over the past few years and explore the potential for future growth. Aspects coming under the microscope will include recent product successes and failures, future product and packaging innovation, labelling and marketing techniques.
A panel of experienced speakers, including buyers, retailers and wholesalers, will also be on hand to offer advice on topics such as category management and how to gain retail success.
They will be supported by indepth category analysis from market researcher TNS, as well as presentations identifying the key future trends and the likely impact they will have.
The seminars will end with a panel debate and question and answer session.
Tickets cost £245 per seminar. For more information, call 01293 867612.
