The Balvenie distillery has released a 12-year-old single malt to celebrate its master distiller David Stewart's 45 years in the industry.
The Balvenie Signature Single Malt Scotch Whisky, rsp £28.99, is blended from malts aged in three different types of cask - first-fill bourbon barrels, refill casks and sherry butts.
"From the sherry butts come rich fruit and spicy flavours," said Stewart. "The bourbon barrels add vanilla and honey and the refill casks impart delicate sweet notes and smoothness."
The limited-edition whisky targets collectors and whisky aficionados, with each bottle carrying its own batch number.
