WeightWatchers is entering the booming breakfast biscuit market with a range produced under licence by Walkers Shortbread.
The biscuits are rolling out to Sainsbury’s and independent retailers from the end of April, and will be available in Milk & Honey and Fruit & Seeds variants, in boxes containing six two-biscuit packs (rsp: £2.49).
They contain no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and four WeightWatchers ProPoints per serving.
The breakfast biscuit market has grown 71.9% in the past year [Nielsen 52 w/e 13 October 2012] and a host of brands have brought out new products. Weetabix and Oat So Simple entered the category earlier this year.
