Starbucks has launched a trial with healthy seasonal convenience food brand Pod in a bid to improve its food offering.

The coffee chain will offer selected food from Pod’s breakfast and lunch ranges at three of its central London stores.

Starbucks will offer selected food on co-branded menus from Pod’s breakfast and lunch ranges from Thursday. The trial will include hot and ready-to-eat food items ranging from scrambled eggs with whole grain toast and bee pollen Bircher Muesli to pulled pork and pickle flatbread, as well as pod recipes exclusive to Starbucks.

The three Starbucks stores taking part in the trial are Harewood Place, just off Oxford Circus, Moorgate and Pentonville Road.

“We believe that great coffee deserves to be paired with great food, and we’re very excited to be trialing this food partnership with Pod,” said Starbucks UK marketing and category director Steve Flanagan.
