Chapel Down, England’s biggest wine producer, is increasing its push into the premium beer category by extending its Curious Brew range.
The range will now consist of the Curious Brew Brut lager, launched at the end of last year, and also an ale called Cobb and a porter variety called Porter, all priced around £1.49.
Chapel Down MD Frazer Thompson said: “As the wine industry started to move towards single varietal wines, people’s knowledge improved and sales increased. We hope that by applying the same approach to Cobb, it will regenerate interest in the old English hops varietals.”
