The Wensleydale Creamery used Expo to launch an organic Wensleydale cheese with cranberry, following success with a Sainsbury branded version.
Sean Dodsworth, wholesale manager, said: “The product has done extremely well so we’re looking to get it out under our own brand.”
He said the cheese, priced £1.99 for a 200g pack, had outperformed the organics category in Sainsbury.
The company has also developed a Red Leicester cheese with caramelised onions, which Dodsworth also hoped to gain listings with.
Meanwhile, Shepherds Purse Cheeses launched a ewes milk product, Old Yorke.
