Wrigley is shaking up its bubblegum flavours to tickle kids’ tastebuds. Hubba Bubba Mix & Match Sour Raspberry & Watermelon (rsp: 57p) will replace Sour Cherry & Lemon, while Hubba Bubba Bubble Tape Cheeky Black Cherry (rsp: 85p) will replace Sour Apple.
Wrigley said it was making the changes because flavour rotations stimulate interest and drive experimentation within the children’s confectionery market.
Jo Hartop, Wrigley’s head of communications, added: “Hubba Bubba is the best-selling bubblegum brand in the UK, worth nearly £13m, and has grown by 14% in the past year [ACNielsen, MAT y/e 2004].”
