Heinz is putting chips and roast potatoes onto dieters’ menus, with the launch of low fat versions under its rapidly burgeoning Weight Watchers banner.

The newcomers, both retailing at £1.59 for 1kg, mark the brand’s arrival in potato products.

The company is also adding Luxurious Chocolate Marshmallow and Passion Fruit & Mango iced desserts to its sweet range, while Thai Green Curry and Salmon and Broccoli Potato Wedge Melts, both £1.99, bring the frozen ready meals range total to 19.
