The Meaningful Chocolate Co has created what it claims is the first Easter egg to explicitly promote Christianity.

The Real Easter Egg (rsp: £3.99), which is made with Fairtrade chocolate, has been in development for the past two years. The product is targeted at children attending the UK’s 8,000 faith schools, with 30p from each purchase to donated to Traidcraft Exchange.

“There has been consistently strong interest from all levels of the faith sector who love the price, packaging and our blend of Fairtrade Chocolate,” said a spokesman for the Meaningful Chocolate Co.

“Doing a taste-test with 120 bishops from England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland was quite an experience.”
