In the UK, sales for the year to December 31 were up 28% while Blavod Black Vodka saw sales rise by 26% in the quarter and 52% in December alone. Forward orders for the product for January 2006 are 28% ahead of last year, with strong demand through Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury.
A spokesman for Blavod Extreme in the UK said: “It is a very competitive arena and we are growing the brand slowly. We are very happy with the way things are going so far.”
He said the company hopes to launch more advertising at the end of this year, following its first nationwide TV advertising over the Christmas period.
