The bottled conditioned beer is going on sale at Waitrose, Sainsbury and Tesco stores in 550ml bottles for £3.29.
Although it is the eighth year the beer has been produced, Fuller’s claims each release tastes slightly different. 2004’s vintage takes a ‘back to basics’ theme with fruit and malty notes producing a slightly spicy flavour.
The beer is brewed to improve with age and although it has a three-year shelf life the brewery says it can be drunk up to 10 years old. Fuller’s will try to encourage consumers to buy several bottles and drink them at six month intervals.
