Northern Foods in expected to report a sharp fall in pre-tax profit when it releases its interim results tomorrow (14 November).

The troubled food manufacturer, which makes Fox's Biscuits and Goodfella's pizza, is predicted to reveal a 40-50% fall in pre-tax profit to £13.5m-£15m, down from £25.7m last year.

Analysts are also hoping for an update on the sale of its non-core businesses, including Park Cakes, Fletchers Bakeries and Pork Farms, which it put up for sale in May this year.
