Coca-Cola and P&G have ditched plans to hive off brands including Sunny Delight, Pringles and Minute Maid into a multibillion stand-alone company after Coke got cold feet about the partnership. In a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday, Coke said: "The nature and terms of any transaction that may result will differ materially from the transaction originally announced in February 2001." It insisted it was in shareholders' best interests to retain 100% ownership of its juice brands Fruitopia, Hi-C and Minute Maid. {{NEWS }}
