The taste and mystique of Jamaica's Blue Mountain Coffee is the stuff that international food industry legends are made of. So it's no surprise that the Jamaicans guard the variety against copycats. Dr Cecil Goodridge, director general of the regulatory division of the island's Coffee Industry Board, says that while it has not been a problem in the UK, the board has taken action against US importers who have sold coffee from other origins under the Blue Mountain name.
