Coca-Cola is spending £2m on a pan-European campaign to promote the 'Coke Side of Life'.
Kicking off next week, the 40-second TV ad will run for six weeks on satellite and terrestrial channels.
Inspired by gritty video games such as Grand Theft Auto, the ad depicts a character in a car-racing game taking to the streets to spread happiness after drinking a bottle of Coca-Cola.
Coca-Cola is also understood to be in negotiations with London 2012 after it emerged organisers were looking to sign up a grocery partner, tipped to be Tesco. Coca-Cola will be an official partner for at least the next three Olympic games.
