Dairy Milk struck gold at the Olympics. The brand’s sponsorship of the Games was supported with heavyweight TV, outdoor and online support, contributing to a 42% hike in spend on advertising space during 2012 [Nielsen].

There was plenty of innovation to talk about, too. Mondelez UK managing director Maurizio Brusadelli says the January launch of the lighter Bubbly variant “revolutionised the tablet market”, and Cadbury linked with the world’s biggest biscuit brand to create Cadbury Dairy Milk with Oreo in the Autumn.

Mondelez isn’t taking its foot o the marketing gas in 2013 either. Dairy Milk is now being supported with the Joyville ad campaign.
