A Somerfield charity event last weekend received major regional press coverage after the star turns were stolen just days before they were due to appear. Bungle, Zippy and George (stars of Rainbow, the hit kids TV programme, for the uninitiated) were due to be the star turns at a charity event at the Kingswood store, until the costumes were stolen from a parked car as they were on their way back to London after filming for a new show. But just as Somerfield bosses were preparing to cancel the event, news came through they had turned up at their agent's office, posted in a large cardboard box with a note saying just "sorry". The saga rated major coverage in the Bristol Evening Post, even as the three characters hotfooted it down to the store in time to be reunited with former Rainbow presenter Geoffrey Hayes for the event. {{COUNTERPOINT }}
