Sir; I was very interested to read about the new eco-friendly Tesco store in Wick, which was featured in The Grocer magazine last month (The Grocer, 2 December 2006). Indeed I was pleased to be able to visit it when I found myself in Caithness this week.

It is certainly a very different supermarket both from its external and internal appearance and Tesco can be rightly very proud of its achievements.

I would certainly give it top marks. However the good people at Tesco may want to review the spelling of the Central Scotland town of Grangemouth, which is referred to on their information board. The board talks of how goods are moved by Tesco from Crick to "Graingemouth" by train.

Maybe the reference to "cereals" in their spelling of the town is in keeping with their green credentials!
