Thomas Lowndes, the former alcohol culinary arm of Allied Domecq, sold to Fortune Brands, is behind boozy innovations for Christmas.
They include the first use of Harveys Bristol Cream sherry in custard in an Asda product, produced by Arla Foods. Dairy Crest’s fresh butter and creams contain Courvoisier VS Cognac, Tia Maria and Harveys Bristol Cream. The range uses leading alcohol brands, in their respective categories, to gain instant consumer recognition and an upmarket image.
Other NPD includes Courvoisier VS Cognac added to the Asda Extra Special Christmas Cake range, new chocolate and Grand Marnier puddings at Marks and Spencer, and Morrisons’ Best Sherry Trifle made with Harveys Bristol Cream.
