Sainsbury's has revamped its Active Kids Get Cooking teaching guidelines to encourage school pupils to eat and cook healthily.
Two packs have been designed for primary and secondary schools with a scrapbook look containing colourful cut-outs, stuck-in photography and notepad recipes. The packs come with recruitment leaflets and will work in conjunction with the Active Kids Get Cooking website to help teachers plan healthy cooking lessons.
As part of the revamp, the Get Cooking award scheme has also been redesigned to motivate pupils to achieve certificates.
Sainsbury's said it wanted to offer a fun way to teach children. "The guides provide a valuable resource for educating children about healthy eating through great cooking activities that provide inspiration for lively lessons," said a spokesman.
