This year's Sainsbury's Active Kids will embrace a host of new outdoor pursuits as part of a tie-up with the nation's one million Scouts and Girl Guides.

As well as new sporting equipment for scouts, the 2007 Active Kids catalogue has been extended to include cooking apparatus, camping gear and other outdoor equipment.

The retailer has also joined forces with travel operator PGL, which will accept vouchers in exchange for discounts on group outdoor activities.

Sainsbury's will work with the Scout Association to produce packs designed to help Scouts eat healthily.

The retailer will also erect four temporary stores at the site of this summer's World Scout Jamboree, an event that attracts 40,000 Scouts.

Active Kids kicks off again on 7 February and will run until 29 May. Sainsbury's customers earn one voucher for every £10 spent in-store and at Sainsbury's Online, with a bonus voucher for every £10 spent on fresh produce.
