Aldi is planning to spend £200m developing 150 new stores across Scotland, according to reports in the Scottish press this week.

Aldi's MD for Scotland, Markus Beher, told journalists: "We are trying to open as many stores in Scotland as possible. Since we are a large international company, there is no restriction on investment. We have another two opening this year in Hamilton and Oban and in the following years we are planning to open 10 to 15 stores."
