Amazon.com's venture into grocery products in the US is unlikely to be a hit with UK consumers if the concept is replicated here, analysts say.

The online retailer has ramped up its offer of ambient, packaged grocery products on its US portal under a new category called Health & Personal Care. On the site, US consumers can purchase more than 2,000 bulk item brands.

However, analysts predicted that the concept would be unlikely to take off in the UK.
