Luc Vandevelde has handed over his job as chairman of Marks and Spencer's financial services arm to chief executive Roger Holmes.
Vandevelde, who is credited with turning round the fortunes of the retailer, stepped down as chief executive last year and became chairman.
He will remain chairman of the board and of the corporate social responsibility committee. His remuneration will be in the form of 13,500 M&S shares each month.

UK toiletries and household products distributor DCS Europe has appointed Christine Cross, former Tesco group business development director, as an advisor to the board. Cross advised Tesco on international business expansion.
