Asda is planning its entry into the financial services market with a range of products likely to include loans and credit cards. A spokesman said the launch was still "some way off". However, finance business unit director Paul Mancey is understood to be talking to several companies including HFC and Capital One. Asda poached Mancey from Tesco to head the new business unit in November and he now heads up a four-strong team created to develop a financial services package tying in with Asda's brand values. {{NEWS }}
