Asda has joined up with the England and Wales Cricket Board to launch a junior cricket competition.

The scheme, Kwik Cricket, was launched by England cricketer Andrew Flintoff and is designed to encourage more than 100,000 children to get involved in cricket.

Richard Woodhall, head of local marketing at Asda, said: “By signing up Freddie, we hope to encourage youngsters from around the country to join in a sport and in this case its cricket.”
