Asda's magazine has overtaken Tesco's, according to the latest ABC figures.

Asda Magazine has jumped from the number three slot it occupied a year ago to number two now, relegating Tesco Magazine from second to third place.

The Asda publication had a December 2006 circulation figure of 2.84 million compared with December 2005's 2.38 million - a year-on-year increase of 19.3%. Tesco Magazine fell 3% to 2.42 million.

One of the biggest movers was the Sainsbury's Fresh Ideas title, now in the number five spot with 1.47 million, up 2.9% from the number eight slot last year. Sky magazine topped the ranking.
