Asda will be emphasising the "more value for your money" theme instore for the rest of the year, according to corporate marketing director Chris Pilling. 

It has just introduced Choc a bloc with new prices' signage for Easter, which will be followed by Bursting with low prices' imagery in place for the summer, with a bright sunshine logo and Mr Smileys. 

New Bagfuls of low prices" PoS will go up in late summer, staying in store until the start of the Christmas campaign. 

Pilling said instore imagery was all part of Asda's drive to offer "retailtainment". That will include big events to mark new store openings during 2003.
