Asda has slashed the price of its single disc chart albums to an all-time low of £9.87.

The move is the latest in a series of price cuts across the retailer’s non-food business as it reviews and extends its in-store entertainment range.

General merchandising director Rob Swyer said: “Our customers trust us to provide every day low prices on CDs - just like everything else.

“We have opted to sell for less in order to sell even more great British music.”
