Bestway plans to offer its new delivered wholesale services to all retailers  not just to members of its fledgling Best-one symbol group. The firm is close to announcing the companies that will handle deliveries of chilled and frozen foods. Retail development manager James Hall confirmed that the third party distributors would deliver to non affiliated retailers, those trading under the Best-in fascia as well as members of Best-one. But retailers will need to be big enough to accept the size of drop shipment. Hall said the group wanted to develop a "seamless distribution system" for retailers, and opening up the new services would give the group the necessary volumes for that. Bestway is already delivering bread and milk to more than 100 stores  using Allied Bakeries, Rathbones and Lancashire Dairies as suppliers. Ambient deliveries will be made out of Bestway C&C depots starting with Abbey Road in London. Hall said the first Best-one store  in London's Westbourne Grove  was doing well, with sales up 30% since refit. He expects the symbol group to be fully operational by March. He said delivered services were "the spin off we did not foresee" when work started on Best-one. {{NEWS }}
