Grant will have overall responsibility for marketing and trading functions within Blakemore’s C&C estate, reporting to MD Sam Wilcox.
He will help drive the development of Blakemore’s retail club and seek to provide the wholesale services to retail customers who have signed up to Landmark’s Hothouse project, launched a year ago as part of Landmark’s wholesale vision. The scheme, consisting of 16 stores in the Midlands, aims to help shopkeepers develop a convenience offering.
Grant joins after the acquisition of Welsh wholesalers Mogford in September 2001 and John Edwards in July last year.
The move brought the Blakemore depot total to eight.
He has worked for Nisa-Today’s for the past 10 years. Before that he worked for Spar wholesaler Amalgamated Foods.
