High sales of scratchcards helped National Lottery operator Camelot Group post its best sales performance in 10 years.

Sales rose 3.7% to £5.1bn in the year to 31 March, boosted by a 10% rise in scratchcards and interactive instant-win games to £1.2bn. Camelot launched 44 scratchcards and 37 interactive instant-win games in the period, with the biggest sellers including Indiana Jones and James Bond. Sales of draw-based games rose £71.3m to £3.9bn, and retail sales rose 1% to £4.5bn.
