Boots is planning to launch a new range of lunchtime food options, which will be in direct competition to Marks & Spencer’s Simply Foods format.

The new range will include a value and a premium meal deal, which will also give consumers the option of hot snacks. In addition, the company will be relaunching its own label food brand to include over 155 products and to allow it to gain a higher share of the UK £3bn sandwich market, according to media reports.
