Clarence Court has launched a range of Very Large eggs into Waitrose as it expands its premium specialist offer.
The free-range eggs will retail at £2.49 for six and will be stocked from mid July. They are produced from Old Cotswold Legbars and Mabel Pearman's Burford Browns.
Clarence Court developed the range to meet a gap in the market, following consumer research indicating one boiled egg at breakfast was not enough to satisfy consumers' appetites, while two were too much.
"We adamantly believe our hens, which live in veritable fowl luxury, lay the tastiest eggs," said Clarence Court director, Lisa Rowe.
