Budgens launches Made Easy semi-prepared range

Made Easy aims to help indies compete with mults

Budgens has launched a new range of fresh, high-quality semi-prepared dishes called Made Easy.

The first lines - four chilled meat products accompanied by flavoured herb butters - have just gone into stores.

They are chicken breasts with fire roasted thyme butter (rsp: £5) sirloin steak & au poivre butter (rsp: £5) lamb leg steaks with mint & rosemary butter (rsp: £6) and pork loin steaks with sage & lemon butter (rsp: £4). All meat is 100% British and Red Tractor-assured.

Budgens said further lines would be added to Made Easy later in the year, including main and side dishes.”Fresh and own label are two of the most critical growth sectors in the convenience market,” added Budgens sales director Jon Bleeze.
