Iain troup, category manager, distributor/ mace retailer aberness
Stereotypically, kebabs are eaten after a night on the town and one or two drinks. They are seen as a fast food for people on the move. This product therefore attempts to bring an out-of-home eating experience to the dinner table. Unfortunately, it requires some preparation before achieving that.
Guidelines for cooking are not clear although the packaging is attractive and the serving suggestion displayed looks delicious.
In a declining frozen market however, suppliers are trying to promote quality and freshness and a kebab is not the sort of meal that today's health conscious consumers go for.
Aberness does not list the product but it may suit convenience stores with a young, student clientele. Score: 11/25
