Group sales for the period rose 9% to $4.73bn from $4.33bn with pre-tax profit rising to $372m from $277m last year.
CCE said so far this year European sales were up 7.5% and attributed 2% of the growth to “this summer’s heat”.
Volumes in North America rose just 0.5% skewed by the “extraordinary volumes by the introduction of Vanilla Coke in 2002”. CCE noted that sales of its water brand Dasani had been “strong”.
