The Co-operative Group has pledged to help its customers eat more healthily as part of a major health campaign to coincide with the government's Change4Life programme.

The society will launch a string of offers on healthy products throughout the year as part of its Make Healthier Choices campaign, including "substantial savings" on at least five fruit and veg lines every month through a 'Big 5' commitment.

Its 'green dot' front-of-pack labelling scheme, which highlights healthy products and their nutritional benefits, has also been extended from 550 lines to 640 lines.

Co-op Group members will get double membership points on any green dot products they buy in January.

The campaign has kicked off with half-price offers on fruit, as well as deals on Co-op own-label products including chicken, salmon, and sausages.
