Co-operatives of organic farmers are beating bigger companies in the race to supply big business with high-demand organic products. Bavarian Paul Etzel runs a co-operative of 15 organic arable and dairy farmers and has just beaten larger companies to win a contract to supply muesli and yogurt to Lufthansa and a multinational hotel chain. He said the success of his 10 year old farm came from establishing own brand products and bold marketing. "We have 18 miles of five metre thick wild flower hedging around the co-operative farms, which gives us a tangible selling tool," he said. {{NEWS }}
