Foodservice company Brakes has appointed Frank J McKay as group chief executive officer.
McKay takes up his new role with immediate effect, replacing Bruno Deschamps who had been acting as chief executive officer and group chairman.
McKay joins Brakes from builders merchant Travis Perkins where he was chief executive officer. During his time there, Brakes said that McKay almost quadrupled the company’s market capitalisation. Prior to Travis Perkins, he was a main board member of building materials supplier Blue Circle Industries and CEO of its heating division.
