Former Asda trading director Mike Coupe has started a two-month induction at the Iceland Group. Coupe joined the company this week, five months after his departure from Asda was announced. He officially takes up the reins as md of frozen food chain Iceland early next year and will work alongside Gerry Johnson, md of sister cash and carry business Booker. Before joining Asda in 1993, he worked at Tesco and Unilever.
