Musgrave Retail Partners GB has named Paul Courtney as sales director for Londis.

Courtney takes up the role with immediate effect, replacing Steve Lucas. He has worked at the wholesaler for a number of years in senior sales roles including regional sales director and national sales planning controller.

Courtney has been acting as sales director since Lucas took a sabbatical in March this year.

"Steve took a sabbatical to support a member of his family through illness," a spokeswoman said. "Steve has decided he is unable to return and has resigned. Steve is still needed to support his family, so has left the business with immediate effect."

Lucas joined Musgrave GB in April 2008 from Camelot where he worked for seven years. He has also worked for Walt Disney, Häagen-Dazs, Lloyd Bowmaker and Sainsbury's.
