Dairy Crest has announced details of its second super dairy' site. A £39m investment at Severnside in Gloucestershire will double capacity to 500 million litres per year and create 320 new jobs, making it the UK's largest dairy. Some £$23m will be spent expanding retail liquid milk capacity and £16m on a dedicated added value facility. The development is due for completion in September 2002 and will see the closure of liquid milk dairies at Tornbury, Marshfield, Cardiff and Kidlington. {{M/E CANNED GOODS }}
