Membership of Landmark will enable Drinks Inc, which has a turnover of £32m, to negotiate better prices on the brands it currently stocks. It will also add Landmark's full range of own-label drinks products, such as Keane's cider and Vodgrad, to its range.
"Drinks Inc is an entrepreneurial and progressive company which, like ourselves, is committed to the future of the independent sector," said Landmark managing director Martin Williams. "We have an excellent range of own-brand licensed products, which is perfectly suited to its customer base."
The new recruit brings the number of wholesalers in Landmark to 31 and Williams said there were "more in the pipeline".
Drinks Inc is based in Belfast, where it operates from a 15,000 sq ft warehouse and delivers to independent businesses, with 60% in the on-trade and the remainder in the off-trade.
"We have always achieved exceptionally high levels of customer satisfaction by distinguishing ourselves as an innovative organisation that, by constant reassessment, always exceeds the expectations of our customers and supplier partners," said Paul Camplisson, who founded the company from his garage in 1999 while working for a drinks supplier.
Landmark, which has a buying power of more than £2.1bn, carefully vetted potential members to ensure they were respectable and robust businesses, said Williams.
